Daily Reflection
Today i found more information about Block Islands beaches. Before i had asked how many beaches they had but only found that they had 17 miles of beaches. When i was researching i found that they have 13 beaches on this website. The names of these beaches are Crescent Beach, Kid Beach, Ballard's Beach, Fred Benson Town Beach, Scotch Beach, Mansion Beach, Vail Beach, Black Rock Beach, Dorry's Cove Beach, Charlestown Beach, Coast Guard Beach and West Beach. The last beach they have is the Mohegan Bluffs beach. This beach is my favorite but the one that takes forever to get to. One of the questions i had wanted to find the answer to was how many stairs are at this beach. When you go to the Mohegan Bluffs beach, you have to go down 250 stairs then over some rocks to get to there. Its worth the exercise once you get down to this gorgeous beach. The bluffs here are 150-200 feet high and tower over 4 miles of the islands coastline. One other question i found the answer to today was what animals are on Block Island. They have some petting zoos and farms that you can go to to see many different animals. Some animals that have been taken there are llamas, sheep, goats, emus, camels, ducks, swans, donkeys, Scottish Highland Steers, fainting goats, and a zebu. These are only some of the animals that the island has to offer.
